The certification of surveillance, prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections is carried out under the standard UNE 179006, the purpose of which is to establish minimum requirements that a management system must meet for the surveillance, prevention and control of infection associated with healthcare activity, in order to identify, and minimizing the risks of contracting and transmitting infections among patients, staff, and anyone else who comes to the hospital.
The certification of quality management systems for assisted human reproduction laboratories, in accordance with the standard UNE 179007, certifies the laboratories of the healthcare units in which activities related to gametes or pre-embryos are carried out for the purpose of assisted human reproduction, either for own use, for donation within the couple or outside the her.
