Mark N for PE pipes and compounds for gas supply
The AENOR N Mark for polyethylene (PE) pipes and compounds for the gas supply network certifies compliance of these types of gas installations with national and European standards.
Covered Products and Application Standards:

Polyethylene (PE) pipes for the supply of gaseous fuels in accordance with the UNE-EN 1555-2 standard.

Polyethylene compound for the manufacture of pipes for the supply of gaseous fuels in accordance with the UNE-EN 1555-1 standard.

Multilayer pipe piping systems for gas receiving installations with a maximum operating pressure (MOP) less than or equal to 5 bar (500 Kpa) in accordance with UNE 53008 and/or ISO 17484.

CE marking of gas appliances
In order to be marketed in the European Economic Area, appliances that operate on gaseous fuel and their safety, control and regulation devices must comply with the technical criteria set out in EU Regulation 2016/426 , with the manufacturer of the appliances or equipment, or their authorized representatives, being responsible for ensuring that they have been designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements established in Annex I.
The manufacturer is responsible for preparing the EU Declaration of Conformity and affixing the CE marking to the product, which ensures its free movement within the European common area. The marketing of certain appliances that operate on gaseous fuel and their safety, control, and regulation devices requires certification from a Notified Body such as AENOR (code 0099) to verify compliance with the essential safety requirements established in the Regulation.
Covered Products and Application Standards:
The Regulation applies to appliances that burn gaseous fuels and are used for cooking, refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, hot water production, lighting or washing, as well as blown-air burners and heating bodies that are equipped with such burners.
It is also applicable to safety, control and regulating devices and their subassemblies, intended to be incorporated into an apparatus or to be assembled to constitute an apparatus.
