Certification of Products in contact with water for human consumption
Stay ahead of the new European regulations and strengthen confidence in your products with AENOR certification for water for human consumption.
AENOR certification in accordance with DWD: get ahead of Directive (EU) 2020/2184 before it becomes mandatory
The European Union is opening a new stage in relation to water quality, and just as we already offer our services in 13 other Directives or Regulations, AENOR is launching its certification based on the Water for Human Consumption (DWD) Directive, designed to help companies anticipate the new regulatory framework and demonstrate their regulatory compliance in the field of drinking water.
If your products also have AENOR N Mark certification or CE marking with us, we will take advantage of the site visits to carry out both audits jointly and in a coordinated manner.
In any case, it is an opportunity for your organization to demonstrate its health commitment before its full regulatory implementation.

We accompany you from today throughout the certification process in accordance with the mandatory Water for Human Consumption Directive (DWD) so that, in the field of drinking water, your products have a valid certificate, which provides confidence to customers and public bodies.
In addition, it is important to take into account the existence of a transitional period. As indicated in the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, products that have already been declared compliant with the national hygiene requirements for materials in contact with water intended for human consumption and that maintain a national certificate valid as of December 31, 2026, may continue to be using it until December 31, 2032.
