Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and GMP

AENOR's HACCP certification guarantees hazard control and food safety throughout the production chain, ensuring safe products and complying with international regulations. GMP certification ensures the application of good manufacturing practices to guarantee hygiene, quality and safety in agri-food production.

Ensuring that food products are treated hygienically

HACCP is an internationally recognized system that helps food industry organizations identify food safety risks, avoid related hazards, and comply with current regulations.

The principles for the implementation of HACCP are set out in the Codex Alimentarius, which brings together a set of internationally adopted food standards, identifies essential food hygiene principles applicable throughout the food chain; recommends the application of HACCP-based criteria to raise the level of food safety; indicates how to promote the application of these principles; and provides guidance for specific codes that may be required for sectors of the food chain, processes or commodities, in order to extend the specific hygiene requirements for those sectors.  GMP certification guarantees the application of good manufacturing practices in the agri-food sector. This standard sets out essential guidelines to ensure hygiene, quality and safety at all stages of food production, handling and packaging.

These certifications can be perfectly integrated with other certification schemes, having the possibility of obtaining them immediately with the certifications of ISO 22000, FSSC, BRCGS Food, BRCGS Packaging, IFS Food o IFS PAC Secure.
