Madrid, 3 December 2024. Juver, a leading company in the production of juices and nectars with over 60 years of history, has received the Pay Audit Certification issued by AENOR. This recognition positions it as the second company in the food sector in Spain, and the first in the Region of Murcia, to achieve this distinction, underscoring its commitment to equal pay for women and men.
The award ceremony took place at Juver's facilities, where José Hernández Perona, CEO of Juver, and Javier Robador Jordá, Juver’s Human Resources Director, received the certificate from Ángel Luis Sánchez, AENOR Director in the Mediterranean region. This milestone strengthens Juver’s commitment to building an equitable work environment, a core component of its social sustainability strategy.
During his remarks, Robador noted: "Juver, in the development of its values and corporate policies, such as pay equality between men and women reflected in our equality plan, has obtained this AENOR certification as recognition and evidence that our management system is in compliance with the pay audit methodology. This methodology, based on the econometric model developed by OMD Human Resources Consulting, allows for an objective, transparent, and neutral understanding of pay practices within organizations".
"It is an honour for Juver to have received this certification with the highest possible rating, which demonstrates that our pay management system complies with Articles 3.2 and 7.1 of Royal Decree 902/2020 on Equal Pay for women and men", he added.
For his part, Sánchez stated: "Responsibility and commitment to values have become key societal demands on companies, and this can only be achieved with an ESG approach. The certification awarded to Juver helps organizations comply with the European Directive 2023/970 on pay equality and transparency, which requires a pay gap of less than 5%. The fact that a company like Juver shows this level of commitment to social development and the well-being of its workforce is wonderful news. At AENOR, we believe this will have a positive impact on society and create a ripple effect, not only within the food sector but also among other stakeholders".
Juver has received an A rating, the highest granted by AENOR, thanks to an adjusted pay gap of -2.39%, demonstrating the absence of pay inequality for roles of equal value. This result reflects the company’s fair and transparent management, supported by an econometric model developed by OMD Human Resources Consulting, which identifies and analyses potential pay gaps and their causes, and ensures compliance with European Directive 2023/970, which requires justification for pay differences exceeding 5% in equivalent roles.
This distinction also reinforces Juver’s commitment to equal treatment, a core principle of its Equality Plan, and enhances its ability to attract and retain talent. The recognition further establishes Juver as a leader in implementing responsible and sustainable practices, in keeping with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 5 and 8 of the 2030 Agenda.
