30 June 2026.- ENAIRE, the state air navigation manager, received this morning, from AENOR, the renewal of the certifications of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001). In addition, ENAIRE has renewed the National Security Scheme certificate (Royal Decree 311/2022).
The certificates were presented at ENAIRE's headquarters in Madrid, with the participation of Enrique Maurer, ENAIRE's CEO, and David de Pastors, AENOR Confia's CEO.
"This recognition reflects something that is our DNA and is part of our day-to-day work: the commitment to safety, quality and sustainability in everything we do," in the words of Enrique Maurer.
"Our Integrated Management System has been helping us move forward in an orderly and coherent way for years, and these results show that we are going in the right direction. The renewal of the certificates is a sign that we are still on the right track, adapting to an increasingly demanding and constantly evolving environment," said ENAIRE's CEO.
Maurer wanted to dedicate a few words to the ENAIRE team involved in the audits, present at the event. "Your daily work, often discreet but always essential, is what makes it possible for these systems to be not only a formal framework, but a living reality that adds value to the organization," he said.
ENAIRE's CEO also thanked AENOR for its support throughout this time, highlighting its audit work and also the value it provides, helping to identify improvements and incorporate good practices that strengthen the organisation's systems.
For his part, David de Pastors, CEO of AENOR Confia, an organisation that this year celebrates its 40th anniversary, highlighted the efforts of a key organisation for the general interest such as ENAIRE, which integrates innovation, sustainability and safety as pillars of its activity. "This recognition highlights the trust that society can place in ENAIRE, as a guarantee of essential services provided with the highest levels of quality, respect for the environment and information security," he said.
Objectives set out in the 2030 Flight Plan
The renewals of these certifications reinforce ENAIRE's leadership, in line with the values set out in the 2030 Flight Plan, as well as express its commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in the management of all its services.
Specifically, the Quality Management System certification improves the management of ENAIRE's processes and the resilience of the services provided to address structural capacity problems, thus responding to the expectations of customers and stakeholders.
For its part, the certification of the Environmental Management System demonstrates ENAIRE's firm commitment to environmental sustainability and the protection of the environment. The measures implemented contribute to the generation of value for society through the improvement of airspace efficiency, optimisation of energy consumption, reinforcement of operational efficiency and the promotion of the decarbonisation of the activity, thus minimising the organisation's environmental impact.
The certification in accordance with Royal Decree 311/2022, which regulates the National Security Scheme, accredits ENAIRE's firm commitment to the protection and continuous improvement in the field of Information Security of all its essential services, covering both operational systems (air traffic control, drone management, communication, navigation, surveillance, flight plans and aeronautical information), as well as those of business management and support (support systems and technical operation, network supervision and other corporate tools, both internal and external).
