Resumen:
This standard applies to the radiotherapy chain of a radiotherapy facility, starting from the imaging, via the irradiation planning system to the irradiation equipment, including all necessary data transmissions. If a part of the irradiation plans is simulated conventionally, the simulator, for example, shall be considered and tested as part of the chain. This standard applies to all irradiation equipment for percutaneous radiation therapy with Co-60 gamma radiation, as well as to medical electron accelerators which supply X-ray or electron radiation with nominal energies in the range of 1 MeV to 50 MeV. This standard describes characteristics and their tests which are suitable for constancy testing of the radiation therapy chain and their test frequency. The tests apply to all methods of percutaneous radiotherapy including fluence-modulated radiotherapy and methods of volume-modulated rotational radiation.
