This document applies to near-field goniophotometers, i.e. imaging-photometry-based goniophotometers that determine the beam distribution of light sources in the near-field of a light source. The imaging luminance measurement device provides luminance images on sufficient (dense) positions around the light source. It is specified, how to generate the radiation field of a light source on basis of the luminance images, and how to calculate luminous intensity distribution models and luminous fluxes from this data. This document defines characteristics for near-field goniophotometers and specifies methods to determine their values. Thus, a basis for evaluating and comparing near-field goniophotometers is given.
