Das Dokument beinhaltet Begriffe, die auf dem Gebiet der Sonnenkollektoren und solarthermischen Anlagen angewendet werden, sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen für Sonnenkollektoren und die Prüfung der Stillstandstemperatur. Es ist anwendbar für alle Kollektorarten. Die sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen sind denen in ISO 9806-2 angeglichen.
