Resumen:

This standard applies to the compression test at room temperature for all metallic materials and it serves to assess the strength and deformation behavior of the investigated material. For this purpose, a cylindrical test piece with the initial cross section S<(Index)o> is loaded continuously and the thereby occurring compressive force and compression strain are measured.
