Ojos de Agua Hydroelectric Project
The Ojos de Agua Hydroelectric Project is a run-of-river hydroelectric project located in the seventh region of Chile being developed by Endesa Eco . The project will have an installed capacity of 9MW and will depend on the flow of water from the Cipreses River to generate electricity for the Central Interconnected Electricity System (SIC). The Cipreses River basin receives approximately 1.4 km2, 1444mm of annual rainfall. The purpose of the Ojos de Agua Hydroelectric project is to generate electricity from renewable hydrological resources.
The Project will reduce emissions by 26,418 tons of CO2e per year.
